Maggie encourages that a strong bond between the community is what forges the basis for quality, well-rounded learning experiences. Maggie believes Art is essential to life. She is passionate about art education and strives to support and share her values. Maggie is strongly influenced by constructivist philosophy and has a passion for supporting community wellness. She uses art to foster connections and incorporate therapeutic art skills for managing personal well-being. Her educational approach is rooted in Reggio Emilia's Approach, Design Thinking, Project Zero, Experimental Learning, Forest Bathing and Expressive Art therapy practice. Maggie is a passionate, enthusiastic facilitator. She is an experienced Early Learning Art Consultant and Artist Residence in school with 35 years of industry experience. Having worked as an Atelierista and an Early Learning consultant. Maggie is now focused on her work, delivering professional development and art practice across Canada.

In addition, Maggie volunteers for the Nature Kids BC to promote eco-literacy and an inspired appreciation of the natural world. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Reggio Association. She is also a co-author and contributor of a book: Beautiful Stuff 2nd Edition: Beautiful stuff from Nature (Edited by Cathy W. Topal and Lella Gandini).
